However, even though we have used this product for many years, I did not find creating the pain.001.001.03 formats particularly easy or straightforward. Incidentally, the pain formats tend to be largely verbose XML padding. The amount of variable information is typically small meaning that there is the potential to download just the variable information and use Excel (or similar) to add in the XML padding.
